Northwestern clamps down on Bellefontaine netters

Visiting Northwestern recorded a 5-0 win over Bellefontaine in a Central Buckeye Conference tennis match Tuesday.

The Chiefs fall to 1-4 on the season.

In singles play, the Warriors’ Brittany Hart defeated Kiersten Daum 6-4, 6-3, Northwestern’s Ellen Snyder won 6-1, 6-0 over Kenzie Collinsworth and the Warriors’ Addie Smith prevailed 6-3, 6-3 over Hannah Weimer.

Bellefontaine’s first doubles team of Hannah Vance and Traysa Downing lost 6-3, 6-0 to Allison Sigler and Hannah Frasco. Northwestern won the second doubles match by forfeit.

In exhibition doubles action, Weimer and Collinsworth defeated Gracyn Leep and Shelby Lindner 8-6.

Bellefontaine returns to action Thursday at Northeastern.
