WL-Salem girls open with shutout of Hillclimbers

West Liberty-Salem’s girls soccer team showcased its offense in the season opener Monday, running away with a 4-0 win over visiting Urbana.

Lily Yoder led the Tiger attack with two goals, Morgan Freyhof had one goal and one assist, Annika Wolfe tallied one goal and Abigail Rabenstein provided an assist.

Defensively for the Tigers, April Kelley recorded two saves as she had the shutout in goal.

WL-Salem hosts Miami East on Saturday in non-league action.
