Barnett shoots 82 for medalist honors

Indian Lake’s girls golf team continued its impressive start to the season Tuesday by comfortably winning the Lady Raider Invitational at Tree Links Golf Course.

The Lakers fired a 370 to take the tournament title ahead of runner-up Kenton Ridge, which finished with 391.

Versailles was third with 403, Northeastern was fourth with 408, Mechanicsburg was fifth with 423, North Union took sixth with 432 and Bellefontaine came in seventh with 454. Host Benjamin Logan and Riverside also played, but did not have enough golfers to post team scores.

Indian Lake’s Morgan Barnett was tournament medalist with a low round of 82, while teammate Sean Pusey was close behind with an 84.

Also for the champion Lakers, Kylie Speicher carded a 96, Ashley Wall had a 108 and Murphy Oberle had a 123.

Chelsea McLaughlin led the Chieftains with an 89, Sarah Hall had a 103, Kathleen Coakley posted a 123 and Emily Fulmer recorded a 139.

Posting individual scores for the Pirates were Destany Jones with a 106, Monica Hurley with a 109 and Bailey Leonard with a 140.

Ben Logan’s Morgan Fultz carded a 95.
