Bellefontaine Easton Water Acme team sweeps two doubleheaders

Bellefontaine Easton Water Solutions ran its Senior Acme baseball record to 10-1 after sweeping two doubleheaders  over Graham and Lima Central Catholic.

On Friday, Easton Water beat Graham 12-10 in the first game and grabbed a 9-7 win in the second game. Bellefontaine went on to sweep LCC during Saturday’s action with 3-2 win in the first game and a 12-2 victory in five innings in the second game.

Against Graham, Jarrett Beck went 2-3 with a triple and two RBI to lead Easton Water in the first game. Nick Burton added a two-run double, while Gauge Hayman and Joe Oliver each scored two runs.

Cam Henry earned the win on the mound with five strikeouts. Nick Burton came in to earn the save.

In the second game, Connor Burton broke a 7-7 tie in the bottom of the fifth with a two-out, two-run single to push Bellefontaine to the win.

Offensively, Hayman went 2-3 and scored three runs, while Nick Burton, Jordan Baughman and Drake Roebuck all recorded doubled. Oliver also scored twice for the winners.

Connor Burton picked up the win in relief of starter Jake Kennedy and Nick Burton notched his second save of the night.

Against LCC, John Kirby fired a three hitter to power Bellefontaine in the first game. He struck out seven and walked three.

Offensively, Hayman went 2-3 and Auston Benton drove in Henry for the go-ahead run in the fifth inning.

In the second game, Oliver scattered four hits on the mound while striking out five and walking one for Bellefontaine.

Hayman went 3-4 with two RBI to pace the Easton Water offense. Roebuck went 2-3 with a double and two RBI, while Baughman went 3-3. Kennedy was 2-2 with three RBI, while A.J. Gorham was 2-3 with two runs scored. Oliver added two RBI.

Bellefontaine returns to action Tuesday at Vandalia-Butler.
