Notre Dame golfer Lindsey Weaver, a daughter of Tree Links Golf Course owners Craig and Sandra Weaver, has received her second All-American honor in the last week.
Weaver, who May 29 was tabbed an honorable mention All-American by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association, was selected Wednesday as a second-team All-American by GolfWeek.com.
There were 10 golfers selected to the first, second and third teams and 20 additional women placed on the honorable mention list.
Weaver helped the Irish capture their fifth Big East Conference title and earn their sixth straight NCAA regional appearance this spring.
She shared co-medalist honors with teammate Talia Campbell at the conference tournament with a six-under total of 210 for three rounds.
She was tabbed the Big East player of the year and the Big East freshman of the year. She was the conference’s player of the month for October. She finished the fall portion of the schedule as the number one ranked golfer on the Golfstat rankings.
Weaver will participate in a free junior clinic at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 29, at Tree Links. More information can be obtained at the course.
