Bellefontaine had no problem getting runners on base Thursday against Kenton Ridge. Getting them in was a different story.

The second-seeded Chiefs stranded 10 base runners as the visiting Cougars clawed out a 3-1 win in eight innings Thursday in a Division II sectional semifinal at Blue Jacket Park.

“They got the timely hits and we didn’t,” said Bellefontaine coach Art Caudill. “That is what it came down to.”
