Indian Lake’s baseball team has developed a knack for late-inning comeback victories. The Lakers were unable to tap into that magic Tuesday.

Visiting Graham used a one-hitter from Brendon Holtvoight to shut down Indian Lake 3-0 in a Division II sectional tournament opener.
It was a surprising result. The Lakers won the Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division this spring and beat the Falcons, who finished fifth out of six teams, in both of their regular-season meetings.
“Over the last week or two, we’ve had good pitching, but we haven’t hit the ball,” said Indian Lake head coach Kevin Eyink. “We put a lot of zeroes up on the scoreboard.”
