West Liberty-Salem track and field teams are off to to strong starts at the Ohio Heritage Conference meet.

The host Tiger girls captured two league titles, set a meet record and are currently tied for first place after the first day of action. They are tied with Northeastern at 42 points apiece.
Mechanicsburg and Greeneview are tied for third with 11 points each, while Triad is sitting in fifth with seven points.
WL-Salem’s boys are holding onto first by two points. The Tigers lead with 22 points, while Cedarville and Mechanicsburg are tied for second with 20 points each. Northeastern is in fourth with 14 points.
The OHC track and field championship finals wrap up at 5 p.m. Thursday, with the junior high competing first and the high school to follow.
