Both squads finished with eight hits, but it was the Chiefs who were able to make the most of theirs in a 5-1 Central Buckeye Conference victory at Blue Jacket Park.
“I thought our guys battled today and came up with some big hits,” said BHS head coach Art Caudill. “We played pretty good defense for the most part as well.”
It was the final league game for both teams. Bellefontaine finished in a tie for second in the Kenton Trail division at 12-4. The Chiefs are now 16-7 overall.
Indian Lake, which wrapped up its third straight Mad River division title earlier this week, drops to 12-10 overall and 11-5 in league action.
