The Cardinals shut out visiting Southeastern 10-0 in five innings to clinch their third straight outright OHC title.

Triad improves its overall record to 21-4 and is now 12-1 in OHC play.

It was a balanced effort against the Trojans.

Triad’s offense collected eight hits and Colton Young did his job on the mound, striking out nine and allowing only three hits.

The Cardinals grabbed a 2-0 lead in the first inning and then blew the game open with a seven-run second inning.

Triad scored another run in the bottom of the fifth to force the run rule.

Tre McIntyre went 3-4 with a double, triple and two RBI to power the Cardinals’ hitting efforts.

Also for Triad, Auston Sanford had a triple and three RBI and Trent McIntyre belted a triple.

The Cardinals complete conference play today at home against Springfield Catholic Central.
