Bellefontaine girls blitz Stebbins 11-1

Bellefontaine’s softball team pounced early Monday to grab an 11-1 five-inning win over visiting Stebbins in Central Buckeye Conference play.

The Chiefs scored four runs in the first inning and went on to cruise to the run-rule victory.

Bellefontaine is now 12-11 overall and 7-7 in the CBC. Stebbins falls to 4-17, 0-14.

Haleigh Stafford allowed only one hit in earning the win in the pitching circle.

Stafford had plenty of support from her offense. Jenna VanHoose went 3-4, Jacey Joseph went 2-3 with a triple and three RBI and MacKenzie Brunswick and Sidney Dew each added two hits.
