Braves’ 9-run first inning jolts Benjamin Logan

Host Springfield Shawnee exploded for nine runs in the first inning and went on to take a 14-4 five-inning win over Benjamin Logan in a Central Buckeye Conference baseball game Friday.

The Raiders fall to 8-4 overall and 3-3 in the CBC. Shawnee improves to 7-5, 4-2.

Shawnee added four runs in the third innings for a 13-0 lead. The Raiders scored three runs in the fourth frame and each squad scored once in the fifth inning.

Austin Ahle had a double and Brady Bechtel drove in two runs to lead Ben Logan.

The Raiders return to action today at Mechanicsburg.
