Lakers drop softball contest against Red Devils

Indian Lake’s varsity softball team was unable to slow down host Tippecanoe on Wednesday as the Lakers dropped a 16-6 five-inning decision.

The Lakers drop to 3-4 overall and 0-4 in the Central Buckeye Conference. The Red Devils improve to 7-3, 4-0.
Indian Lake led 6-2 after the top of the second inning, but the Red Devils put nine runs on the board in the bottom of the second to go up 11-6.

The hosts continued their barrage with five runs in the fourth inning.

Shelby McMann went 2-3 at the plate to highlight the day for the Lakers. Andi Lee contributed a two-run double, Ashley Hoy had a triple and Ashley Franks had a double.

The Red Devils pounded out 18 hits on the day.
