11 local players earn all-District 9 honors

Six area boys and six local girls were recently selected to the all-District 9 basketball teams for their respective divisions.

On the boys side, Bellefontaine’s Matt Gump, Indian Lake’s Christian Grider and Benjamin Logan’s Blaine Ricketts were named to the Division II squad.

West Liberty-Salem’s Aaron Hollar was named the Division III coach of the year and two of his players — Landon Hormann and Grant Burden — were included on the all-District 9 squad.

For the girls, Bellefontaine’s Jazmyn Haley, Ben Logan’s Jessica Yoder and Indian Lake’s Mikaela Oyer were all-District 9 picks for Division II.
