Local bowlers help Falcons win tourney

Benjamin Logan graduates Trinnity Jackson, kneeling in the middle of the first row, and Brittney Poling, second from left in second row, helped their Bowling Green women’s bowling team captured a firstplace finish Saturday in the American Heartland Conference Championships in Monroe, Mich.

There were 16 teams in the tournament.

Poling, a sophomore, averaged a 179 and Jackson, a freshman, averaged a 170. The Falcons qualified for the sectional tournament March 9-10 in Fairview Heights, Ill.
