Chiefs, Raiders come alive at right time to earn district berths

The boys bowling teams at Bellefontaine and Benjamin Logan were unable to meet their high expectations during the regular season, but they have found their groove in the postseason.

The Chiefs, who finished fourth out of six teams in the final Central Buckeye Conference standings, won the sectional tournament last Friday at Marian Lanes in Huber Heights.

Of all of the teams that competed in the four sectional tournaments in the Southwest District, Bellefontaine had the second-best pin total with a 4,279. The competition consisted of three regular games and then six games of baker’s format competition.
