Battle-tested Lakers aim to peak at right time

That is the type of attitude the Indian Lake wrestling team has this weekend as it prepares for the Division II district tournament Friday and Saturday at Goshen High School.

The Lakers qualified eight wrestlers to the district meet, the weekend they have been preparing for all season.

“As a coach you have to take a step back and analyze where your team is individually and overall as a team,” said Indian Lake head coach Scott Tressler. “I feel that we schedule a difficult regular season in order to be prepared for the post season. If our guys do not perform where they are capable of, that is my fault.

“I feel that we have the ability to have a very successful weekend if we wrestle to our abilities. That is an exciting prospect for me as a coach and as a wrestling fan.”
