WL-Salem’s McNutt earns trip to district bowling tournament

West Liberty-Salem senior Codi McNutt was the lone area bowler to qualify for the girls Division II district bowling tournament Wednesday at Marian Lanes in Huber Heights.

The Tiger standout grabbed one of the six individual qualifying spots at the Division II sectional tournament. McNutt finished 19th overall and was the fourth individual to qualify through. She rolled 194, 188 and 139 games for a 521 series.

The top six teams and top six individuals not on a qualifying team moved on to the district tournament at Beaver-Vu Lanes on Friday, Feb. 22, in Beavercreek.

Benjamin Logan junior Danielle Jones nearly earned a district berth. She tied for the sixth and final individual qualifying bid, but lost on a tiebreaker. She had games of 169, 181 and 147 for a 497 series.
