Tuttle, Grider power Lakers past W-Goshen

Indian Lake’s boys basketball team ran past host Waynesfield-Goshen for an 86-75 non-league victory on Tuesday.

The win improves the Lakers to 5-15 overall this season, while the Tigers fall to 7-13.

Jalon Tuttle and Christian Grider turned in huge individual efforts to spark the Lakers.

Tuttle scored a game-high 32 points and Grider had a double-double with 23 points and 17 rebounds.

Brennon Lump also had a strong game with 14 points and Chris Teague contributed nine points and 10 rebounds in the Lakers’ high-scoring win.

W-Goshen took a 19-15 lead at the end of the first quarter, but Indian Lake came back to grab a 33-32 edge at halftime.

Indian Lake stretched its lead to six points (54-48) at the end of the third period and then put the Tigers away by outscoring them 32-27 in the fourth quarter.

Dylan Little led W-Goshen with 29 points.

In junior varsity action Tuesday, Indian Lake won 43-31. Isaac Miller led the Lakers with 19 points.

Indian Lake hosts Benjamin Logan on Friday in a local Central Buckeye Conference matchup. The Lakers then play at home against Bellefontaine in the regular-season finale Saturday.
