Chiefs, Tigers get fifth seeds for sectional hoops tournament

Bellefontaine and West Liberty-Salem were each seeded fifth for their respective sectional boys basketball tournaments during Sunday’s draw meetings.

In the Division II sectional tourney for games at Springfield High School, Bellefontaine received a first-round matchup against fourth-seeded Urbana at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23.

Also at Springfield, Benjamin Logan plays top-seeded Trotwood-Madison at 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 23 and Indian Lake plays in the next game that day (approximately 2 p.m.) against second-seeded Springfield Shawnee.

In Division III, WL-Salem will play Brookville at 8 p.m. on Feb. 23 at Tecumseh High School.

Triad begins Division III sectional play at 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 23 against Greeneview at Tippecanoe High School.

In Division IV, Riverside opens tournament plays at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 23 against Lehman Catholic at Piqua High School.
