The Tigers improve to 7-11 overall and 4-3 in the NWCC, while the Pirates fall to 5-15, 2-5.

W-Goshen led by three points after three quarters and then outscored the Pirates 20-10 in the final period.

“It was a good game, but Waynesfield just shot the lights out,” said Riverside head coach Don Epps. “We were only down 41-38 going into the last quarter, but we just can’t finish.

“We made crucial mistakes at critical times and it cost us. The boys fought hard and we were pleased with the effort. We just couldn’t get it done at the end.”

Kolt Shough led Riverside with 15 points and Dalton Bollinger tallied 10 points.

Dylan Little had 22 points and Lee Turner scored 20 for the Tigers.

In junior varsity action, the Pirates won 50-24.

Riverside hosts Houston today in a non-league contest.
