HOOPS PREVIEW
Riverside’s boys basketball team has taken some lumps at times this season, but the Pirates continue to show signs of improvement.
Riverside will try to grab some more late-season momentum Friday when it hosts Waynesfield-Goshen in a Northwest Central Conference contest.
The Pirates possess a 5-14 overall record and a 2-4 mark in the NWCC. They recently lost to Lima Perry 64-41.
“Our kids are ready to battle,” said RHS head coach Don Epps. “When you are 5-14 it’s tough to get a good practice in sometimes. Our kids are working hard, though, and want to improve. We are still playing to win and that is encouraging. It shows the great character the kids have.”
