Northeastern grabs league win against Triad

Northeastern wore down host Triad for a 62-47 win on Friday in Ohio Heritage Conference boys basketball action.

The win improves the Jets to 6-11 overall and 5-6 in the OHC, while the Cardinals fall to 6-12, 5-7.

Seth Donohoe powered the Cardinals’ offense with 18 points, while Ryan Boyd, Collin Watson and Christopher Nott each had seven points.

Northeastern enjoyed a 31-23 lead at halftime.

Triad trailed 43-36 after three quarters and then saw the Jets go on a 19-11 run to end the game.

The Cardinals won the junior varsity game 53-44. John Printz had 12 points and Jake Graham added 10 points for the Cardinals.

Triad travels to North Union on Tuesday for a non-league meeting.
