Indian Lake’s boys basketball team came up short against host Northwestern on Friday as the Warriors escaped with a 43-37 win in Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division action.
The Warriors fell to the Lakers 68-36 earlier this season, but avenged that loss in the rematch. The Warriors are now 4-13 overall and 2-6 in the CBC Mad River division. The Lakers fall to 3-13, 3-5.
Northwestern held a 20-19 edge at halftime and led by four points (33-29) at the end of the third quarter.
Brennon Lump led Indian Lake with 15 points and Jalon Tuttle had nine points.
Northwestern’s Cody Lough tossed in a game-high 27 points.
In junior varsity action, Indian Lake won 53-37, with Isaac Miller scoring 12 points to lead the Lakers.
Indian Lake travels to Kenton Ridge on Tuesday for a CBC crossover game.
