Lakers suffer rough night at state duals

ST. PARIS — There was not a lot that went right for Indian Lake’s wrestling team here Wednesday night at the Division II state duals.

The Lakers were unable to overcome injuries and a sluggish performance as third-seeded Wapakoneta eliminated them from the tournament by a 47-24 score in the regional semifinal round.

“Emotionally, it’s a letdown,” said Indian Lake head coach Scott Tressler. “Hats off to Wapak, though. They got the pins they needed and we didn’t finish in our matches. They just wrestled well and we didn’t.”
