Hilliker Heat swim team hosts home meet

The Bellefontaine Hilliker Heat swim team hosted a talented Auglaize/Mercer squad for a dual meet Saturday at the Hilliker Y.

Auglaize-Mercer prevailed 176-131 on the girls side and 263-35 in the boys meet for an overall score of 439-166.

For the girls, winning events in the 8-and-under division were the 100 medley relay team of Sarah Fulmer, Junette Ly, Morgan Henry and Mia Stallard and the 100 freestyle relay team of Stallard, Fulmer, Ly and Henry, Henry in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle and 25 breaststroke and Stallard in the 25 backstroke.

Adding second-place efforts were Stallard in the 25 freestyle and Sarah Fulmer in the 25 backstroke.

In the 9-10 division, Sarah Starkey placed first in the 50 freestyle and first in the 100 freestyle.
