Former WL-Salem star won five individual state titles

The most accomplished runner in West Liberty-Salem history earned himself a spot among Ohio’s elite Friday.
Earl Zilles was inducted into the Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches Hall of Fame during a banquet in Columbus.
“It’s a big honor,” said Zilles. “When you go back and look at the list of people in there, starting with Jesse Owens, it is just a huge honor.”
