Riverside powerlifting squad fares well in Clark County meet

Riverside’s powerlifting team had numerous individuals place first in their weight classes at the Clark County Open on Saturday at Kenton Ridge.

Taking first for the girls team were Ashtyn Defibaugh and Kelsey Barney. Defibaugh competed at 115 pounds for lifters in grades 11-12, while Barney won at 175 pounds for grades 9-10.

Ashton Wooddell took second, Alexa Klinger finished third and Keirstyn Severt, Bailey Leonard and Taylor Goings added fourth-place efforts.
