Indian Lake’s cross country program hosted a 5K race Saturday to raise money for sophomore Tyler Avila, who was hit by a car while running at the school last fall.
The race raised $1,500 to help pay for Avila’s medical expenses.
The top male runner was Zack Oakley with a time of 19:55, while the top female runner was Kayla Beltz with a time of 26:20.
The top five overall runners were Oakley, Brad McIntire, Chase Vance, Dan Jividen and Chris Davis.
Below are the top runners in each age group:
15-and-under: Chris Davis; 20-27: Justin Metzger (25:20); 28-34: Dan Jividen (22:11); 35-44: Dan Beltz; 45-54: Robert Shoots (26:30); 55-and-older: David Holtuolet (27:15).
15-and-under: Hannah Avila (27:00); 20-27: Renee Metzger (29:55); 28-34: Laura Broseke (28:01); 35-44: Danielle Meek (30:45); 45-54: Bobbi Stover (27:31); 55-and-older: Mary Holtuolet (39:18).
