Talented Rams present big test for Riverside on Friday

Winning three of its last four games has done wonders for Riverside’s boys basketball team.

The Pirates are riding a wave of confidence as they prepare to host Upper Scioto Valley on Friday in a Northwest Central Conference contest.

Riverside (4-10, 1-2) is coming off a 50-40 loss to Triad on Tuesday, but won its previous three games.

“We’ve been pretty happy with the effort,” said RHS head coach Don Epps. “The kids are working hard in practice and everyone is contributing. I think that has been the key. We’ve also been cutting down on turnovers and fixing poor shooting.

“We have been focusing on the team aspect and that is no matter who plays, you want to play like a starter. If someone came into our gym and looked at how you played they would think you are a starter.”
