The Bellefontaine boys swim team finished in a tie for third place in the Springfield Shawnee Invitational at Wittenberg University on Friday.
The Chieftain boys tied Springfield and Kenton Ridge for third.
Bellefontaine’s girls took eighth.
“I am extremely proud of the swimmers for working so hard in a long stretch of meets and practice without any true rest,” said BHS head coach Sharon Gase. “The team saw many time drops despite being sore and tired. We have a strong set of swimmers with great work ethics. My swimmers were not complaining. Instead, they went out and competed. Our new swimmers are getting stronger and beginning to believe more with the help of our senior leaders.”
