The win bumps the Lakers to 2-9 overall and 2-2 in the CBC Mad River division, while the Raiders slip to 3-10, 1-3.

“We talked about playing smart with the basketball late in the game,” said Ben Logan head coach Dave Myers. “It has been our Achilles’ heel this season. We trailed most of the game and wanted to be smart with the ball in the fourth quarter once we had the lead.

“We just had crucial turnovers, didn’t knock down free throws and didn’t extend the lead when we had the opportunity.”

Indian Lake pulled ahead late in the first quarter to take a 13-10 lead. Both squads scored 14 points in the second quarter, and that left the Lakers ahead 27-24 at halftime.

The Raiders outscored the Lakers 12-7 in the third quarter to grab a 36-34 lead.

Indian Lake surged back, going on a 20-12 run in the fourth quarter to grab its second win of the season.

Christian Grider anchored the Lakers on offense with a game-high 18 points, Jalon Tuttle had 10 points, while Brennon Lump and Chris Teague both had eight points.

Austin Ahle sparked the Raiders with 14 points and Jordan Sosby and Blaine Ricketts each added nine points.

In junior varsity action, Ben Logan won 47-32. Joe Corwin led the Lakers with 12 points.

Indian Lake won the freshman game 47-28. Beau Hefner paced the Lakers with 13 points and Joey Davidson added 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Ben Logan travels to Greenon on Friday, while Indian Lake visits Urbana.
