It has been a season of streaks for the Bellefontaine boys basketball team.

The Chiefs started off with two straight losses, followed with five straight wins and has now dropped three consecutive games.

Bellefontaine, 5-5 overall and 1-3 in the Central Buckeye Conference, will attempt to start a new winning streak Friday when it hosts Stebbins (3-8, 0-4) in a league game.

The Chiefs have struggled to get over the hump in its three games without injured guard Matt Gump. Bellefontaine has suffered three three-point losses in a row. The most recent came against Kenton on Tuesday.

“This team likes to compete and I am confident they will continue to play hard and do everything they can do to be successful,” said BHS head coach Henry Stolly.
