West Liberty-Salem’s boys basketball team continued its impressive campaign Tuesday with a win over a familiar non-league opponent.
The Tigers jumped out to a 14-point halftime lead over visiting Benjamin Logan and cruised to a 68-52 victory.
“I thought there were two totally different halves tonight,” said WL-Salem head coach Aaron Hollar. “In the first half, both teams looked sluggish. But then both teams caught fire in the second half.
“It turned into a full-court transition game toward the end. Thankfully, we were able to maintain our lead in the second half and get the win. It was good to keep that momentum going as we head into the second half of league play this weekend.”
