That was the case for three area wrestlers who competed on the first day of the Greater Miami Valley Wrestling Association Holiday Tournament on Friday at Wright State’s Ervin J. Nutter Center.
Bellefontaine’s Nate Miller (170) and Joe Rindfleisch (182) and Benjamin Logan’s Beau Harmon (285) all advanced to today’s quarterfinal round.
Graham is leading the team race with 113.5 points, but close behind in second is Campbell County of Kentucky with 101 points.
The Chieftains are currently 30th with 42 points and the Raiders are 39th with 34 points.
“We started the day off rough,” said BHS head coach Rick Reed. “I have to do a better job of getting our guys ready for big meets. To our guys’ credit, though, they responded.”
