Cardinals use size, strength to wear out Lakers

Indian Lake’s boys basketball team is lacking both size and a deep bench this winter. Those two issues were evident in a 64-39 loss to New Bremen on Friday.

The Lakers hung around for three quarters, but ran out of steam down the stretch against the bigger and more physical Cardinals in a non-league basketball game.

“I thought we put forth a pretty good defensive effort,” said Indian Lake first-year head coach David Starr. “But we came up short so many times offensively and that wore on us over the course of the game.”
