West Liberty-Salem’s boys basketball team found a way to keep its winning streak alive Saturday night by grabbing a 59-58 overtime victory over host Kenton Ridge in a non-league matchup.
The win lifts the Tigers to 6-1 and gives them a six-game winning streak.
The loss drops the Cougars to 2-4.
The score was deadlocked 15-15 after the opening quarter. The Tigers then held a 24-23 edge at halftime.
It remained a tight game in the second half. The Tigers led 32-30 after three quarters.
Kenton Ridge was two points better (20-18) in the fourth quarter to force an overtime period.
