Indian Lake wrestlers drop Cougars, fall to

Indian Lake’s wrestling team split a pair of dual meets Thursday at Sidney in a super tri-meet with Kenton Ridge and Troy.

The Lakers dropped the Cougars 52-28, but were handled by a strong Yellow Jacket squad 49-9.|

Calvin Davis (138) and Kurtis Gibbons (152) both went 2-0 to lead the Lakers.

Indian Lake is back on the mat Friday at the Medina Invitational.

Triad goes 0-2 in tri-meet

Triad’s wrestling team went 0-2 Thursday in a dual meet with host Greenon and Fairborn.

The Knights battled past the Cardinals 33-17, while the Skyhawks won 54-24. That drops Triad’s dual meet record to 4-10.

Damian Boldman (152) led Triad with two pins, Andrew Zirkle (126) had a technical fall and Brendyn Moxley (160) had a pin.

The Cardinals compete in the Bishop Ready Classic on Thursday.
