Triad clamps down on Southeastern for OHC victory

Triad’s girls basketball team used a big second-quarter effort to down host Southeastern 37-24 on Saturday in Ohio Heritage Conference action.

With the win, the Cardinals improve to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the OHC.

The Trojans fall to 4-3 overall and 2-3 in league play.

Triad led 7-3 after the first quarter and then went on a 17-5 run in the second quarter. That gave the Cardinals a 24-8 cushion at halftime.

Dayna Ober paced the Cardinals’ offense with seven points.

Hannah Kilbride, Anna McKenzie and Nicole Simonelli added six points each.

Southeastern won the junior varsity game 17-13.

Triad is back in action Saturday against Springfield Catholic Central  in another OHC contest.
