West Liberty-Salem’s boys basketball team held off a fourth-quarter rally Tuesday by visiting Southeastern to secure a 63-60 Ohio Heritage Conference victory.

The Tigers move to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the OHC.
Southeastern led 14-11 at the end of the first quarter, but WL-Salem outscored the Trojans 14-10 in the second quarter. That gave the Tigers a 25-24 edge at halftime.
WL-Salem went on a 22-10 run in the third quarter to extend its lead to 13 points (47-34).
The Trojans attempted to rally in the fourth quarter and outscored the Tigers 26-16, but came up short.
WL-Salem had a balanced attack. Travis Mayse and Landon Hormann each had 15 points, Grant Burden tallied 14 points and Max Bailey chipped in with eight points.
In junior varsity action, WL-Salem won 41-30 over Southeastern. Austin Miller led the Tigers with 11 points.
WL-Salem hosts Northeastern on Friday in another OHC contest.
