Urbana’s quick start sinks Lakers

Urbana struck quickly Friday en route to a 77-44 win over host Indian Lake in Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division boys basketball action.
The Hillclimbers are now 3-0 overall and begin CBC Mad River play at 1-0. The Lakers fall to 0-3, 0-1.
Urbana jumped out to a 13-5 lead at the end of the first quarter and the Hillclimbers led 34-17 at halftime.
The visitors pushed their lead to 20 points (50-30) by the end of the third period and they continued to cruise in the final stanza.
Christian Grider paced the Lakers with 15 points and Ivan Reichert had 11 points.
Tristan Singer led the Hillclimbers with a game-high 26 points.
Urbana won the junior varsity game 52-15. Joe Corwin had five points to lead Indian Lake.
In the freshman game, Indian Lake won 50-42 with Beau Hefner scoring 18 points for the Lakers.
Indian Lake is back in action Tuesday at Springfield Shawnee for a CBC crossover game.
