WL-Salem sweeps South Vienna

West Liberty-Salem’s seventh- and eighth-grade junior high girls basketball teams recently swept South Vienna in Ohio Heritage Conference matchups.

The Tigers won the seventh-grade game 47-20, while the eighth-grade squad rolled in a 35-9 victory.

Jonni Parker led the WL-Salem seventh-grade team with 20 points and Laine Godwin had seven points.

For the eighth-grade team, Lily Yoder had 15 points, Olivia Ames had six points and Mikalia McIntosh had six steals and four rebounds.

Lakers, Chiefs split

Indian Lake’s eighth-grade girls basketball team dropped Bellefontaine 34-20 in a recent Central Buckeye Conference meeting.

Samantha Miller led the Lakers with 15 points, Brooke Lewis had 10 points and eight rebounds and Morgan Evilsizor had three points and eight rebounds.

For Bellefontaine, Amarii Vickers had 12 points.

Bellefontaine’s seventh-grade girls basketball team grabbed a 25-6 win over Indian Lake in CBC action.

Emily Mitchell paced BMS with nine points, Zoe Price had six steals and Megan Dyer and Kaitlyn Baughman each had seven rebounds.

Bellefontaine, Triad each win one

Bellefontaine’s eighth-grade girls basketball team defeated Triad 46-31 on Saturday, while the Cardinals earned a win over BMS in the seventh-grade game 31-14.

Abby Ehrenborg powered Triad’s eighth-grade team with 27 points and Jennifer Sizemore had 8 points.

For the Chiefs, Amarii Vickers had 11 points and Kassidy Sullivan had 6 points.

Emily Mitchell led the scoring for Bellefontaine’s seventh-grade team with 14 points, while Zoe Price added 10 points.

Triad saw Kaitlynn Pence have six points and Taylor Bates had four points.
