Girls basketball season tips off this weekend

All seven of the area’s girls basketball teams will be in action this weekend as the season gets under way.

Three games are on the schedule for tonight. Bellefontaine plays at the Wapakoneta Tip-Off Tournament, Indian Lake hosts New Bremen and Riverside travels to Lehman Catholic.

There are five games slated for Saturday. Bellefontaine returns to the Wapakoneta tournament, Ben Logan hosts North Union, Indian Lake plays at home against West Liberty-Salem, Triad visits West Jefferson and Ridgemont travels to Tree of Life Christian.

Previews of all of the local winter sports teams can be seen in a special preview section that will be released in Wednesday’s edition of the Examiner.
