Two Ridgemont players receive all-district honors

Ridgemont had a pair of honorable mention selections on the Associated Press all-Northwest District football team, which was released Thursday night.

The Gophers were represented on the Division VI special mention list by Tyler Tillman and Chris Weyant.

A senior, Tillman passed for 921 yards and 12 touchdowns and ran for 356 yards and seven touchdowns while directing the Gophers’ offense at quarterback.

Weyant, a junior, racked up 135 tackles and 1 1/2 sacks at linebacker for the Gophers.

Tillman and Weyant helped the Gophers to a 5-5 record this fall.
