The Chiefs mustered just 188 yards of offense as host Stebbins churned out a 12-7 victory in a Central Buckeye Conference Kenton Trail division football game.
Bellefontaine finishes its season with a 1-8 overall record and an 0-5 mark in the CBC KT.
Friday’s contest marked the first time Stebbins won a Kenton Trail division game. It moved into the KT division in 2007. The Indians ended their campaign at 3-7, 1-4.
“I feel bad for our seniors,” said BHS head coach Chris Schmidt. “When I try to think of a word to describe them, I think of perseverance. That class kind of thinned itself out over the years, but the guys that stuck around continued to work hard and they battled. I wish we could have sent them out on a better note.”
