WL-Salem slams Cedarville, moves to 9-0

West Liberty-Salem’s football team played a nearly flawless game Friday as it smashed visiting Cedarville 65-7 in Ohio Heritage Conference action.

The Tigers remain perfect at 9-0 overall and 6-0 in the OHC with one game left to play. They host Triad in Week 10 to decide the league championship.

The Indians drop to 1-7-1, 0-6.

Highlighting Friday’s game was the play of senior Ross Hickenbottom, who returned two punts and a kickoff for touchdowns.

Senior quarterback Riley Sims was highly effective as well with 40 rushing yards and 121 passing yards. He had two rushing scores and threw for another.
