Local squads get first-round tourney wins

Benjamin Logan’s top-seeded volleyball team swept Trotwood Madison in the opening round of the Division II sectional tournament Saturday at Tecumseh High School.

Ben Logan won by scores of 25-10, 25-11, 25-12

The Raiders improve to 21-2 and now face seventh-seeded Indian Lake at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the semifinals at Tecumseh.

Courtney Stewart led Ben Logan with 15 points, Ciarra Wirick tallied nine kills, Alex Thompson had eight kills, Taylor Quay recorded five kills, Marissa Wilbur had 18 assists and Tayler Rose added eight assists.
