Once Indian Lake hit its stride Friday there was no looking back as the Lakers pulled away for a 52-7 win over visiting Greenon in Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division action.
The Lakers have won four consecutive game to move to 5-3 overall. They remain unbeaten in the CBC Mad River division at 3-0. The Knights fall to 1-7, 0-3.
Indian Lake tallied 501 yards of total offense, including 481 on the ground , and saw two running backs pass the 100-yard mark.
Chris Teague got Indian Lake’s offense rolling with a big 40-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.
L.J. Henderson helped build Indian Lake’s lead with two more touchdowns in the first quarter. He scored on runs of 4 and 30 yards to put the Lakers up 19-0.
In the second quarter, Hunter Vance barreled his way into the end zone on a 1-yard TD run to give the Lakers a 26-0 advantage.
