Arrows drop Raiders

Tecumseh’s seventh-grade volleyball team recently dropped Benjamin Logan 25-23, 26-24 in the Central Buckeye Conference tournament.

For the Raiders, Stanleigh Archer was 9-9 serving with six kills, three aces and two assists, Josselyn Terry was 8-8 serving with four aces, McKinzie Jones was 6-8 serving with three aces, two kills and six assists and Madison Jones was 7-10 serving with three aces and one kill.

Chieftains fall in tournament matches

Bellefontaine’s eighth-grade volleyball team fell to Tecumseh 25-11, 25-20 in the first round of the Central Buckeye Conference tournament.

Maddie Stout, McKenzie Smith and Haylee Pequignot had strong serving nights for BMS, while Emily Fulmer and Kaylee Mitchell added strong net play.

The BMS seventh-grade squad lost to Springfield Shawnee 25-12, 23-25, 25-16 in CBC tournament play Wednesday.

Kiersten King was the team’s top server with nine points. Mady Stratton had six points and Julie Downing and Kelli Daisy each had four points.
