The win improves the Chieftains to 6-2-1 overall and 4-1-1 in the CBC, while the Lakers slip to 5-6, 2-4.
“This is a big game for us and we knew going in that it was going to be a battle,” said BHS boys head coach Steve Henry. “Coach (Jon) Shoffstall has brought that team a long way and I think they are going to do well in their side of the CBC.”
Bellefontaine and Indian Lake battled back-and-forth in the first half, but neither team was able to score.
“We really fed off of our home crowd and came out with great energy in the first half,” said Indian Lake boys head coach Jon Shoffstall. “We were unable to get on the scoreboard, though. We knew that we would need that same type of effort in the second half. However, we struggled to match that same intensity of the first half.”
